Our Core Team

Kartik Mehta

Focus Area:

Direct Tax Advisory, Tax Litigation, FEMA, International Tax issues, Cross border M&A and structuring, Transaction Support, Management Consultancy etc.

Kartik, a fellow Chartered Accountant, has been a trusted advisor to businesses over a decade. He has garnered extensive experience dealing in domestic tax, transfer pricing, foreign exchange regulations as well as international tax arena. He also has extensive experience in representation and litigation and his enterprising trait has led him working besides some of the best Indian counsel including Senior Counsels and Senior Tax Experts.

He has advised businesses on various direct taxation aspects, provided assistance in developing tax efficient and compliant business structures, inbound and outbound investments from a taxation and regulatory standpoint, cross-border taxation, conducted tax due diligence, prepared transfer pricing policies and study reports.

Previous work experience:

Kartik has 13+ years of experience and has previously worked with a multi-national CA firm – KNAV, Bansi S Mehta and N A Shah.

He plays an active role in various Committees of the professional associations and has been part of the teams that have made several representations to the statutory authorities and regulators. He has also contributed several articles on various complex direct tax law issues in known tax journals.

Sanjay Grover

Focus Area:

Direct Tax Advisory, FEMA, International Tax issues, Cross border M&A and Structuring etc.

Sanjay, a fellow Chartered Accountant, has more than 4 decades of professional experience in handling Domestic / International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Personal Tax and Exchange Control related assignments.

During his career, he has led various assignments relating to Direct Tax, including tax planning, compliance assistance, litigation lifecycle planning, management and execution, Transfer Pricing, Expatriate Taxation, inbound and outbound investment, Exchange Control, Advance Pricing Agreements, Advance Rulings etc.

Previous work experience:

Sanjay has held senior partnership positions at large accounting firms and was the leader of the Indian Oil and Gas tax practice of EY India for the last 15 years before retiring in December 2022. He was also Partner, at BDO India (Big 6 firm) from June 2023 – Jun 2024.

He has been a speaker, for the last 15 years, at the tax conference of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, USA. He has written articles on both tax and oil & gas sector for tax and industry publications. He has made representations to the govt. on tax issues related to the oil & gas industry and was a member of the business associations of various countries. He was also the account lead for a few large clients, having the responsibility of increasing penetration of non-tax services.

Sanjay Kapadia

Focus Area:
Direct Tax Advisory, Tax Litigation, Transfer Pricing, Family Dispute & Settlement, Succession Planning etc.

Sanjay, a fellow Chartered Accountant, has over 30 years of wide-ranging experience in advising MNCs and Indian Corporates on domestic and international tax matters involving interpretation, compliance & litigation (including resolving disputes under MAP), transfer pricing, restructuring and regulatory matters. Sanjay has been involved with client Transfer Pricing Strategy including Intellectual Property Planning and tax-efficient supply chain planning and has advised and assisted in documentation, compliance & concluding APAs. He has also advised and assisted clients in setting up business in and outside India and also advise individuals on taxation, regulatory and inheritance matters.

Previous work experience:

Sanjay has held senior partnership positions at BSR & Associates LLP (KPMG), EY, PwC,
RSM
& Co. and B.S. Mehta & Co. (Bansi S. Mehta affiliate firm).

He has served on Pannell Kerr Foster’s (UK based accounting firm) International Tax Committee.  Co-opted member of the Corporate and Allied Laws Committee (2005 – 06) and the Direct Tax Committee (2008 – 09) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Co-authored Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society’s Transfer Pricing Manual. In the past, served on the Editorial Board of Taxmann’s Monthly Journal on International  Taxation.

Meeti Shah

Focus Area:

Direct & Indirect Tax Advisory, Tax Compliance, Tax Litigation, Audit & Assurance, Accounting etc.

Meeti, a Chartered Accountant by profession, has varied experience in dealing with income-tax and GST regulations as well as international tax regulations.

She has been involved in transaction advisory, international taxation advisory and various assignments involving co-ordination with the departmental authorities. She has provided assistance in developing tax efficient and compliant business structures. She has advised businesses on setting up of accounting practices to be followed, advised on tax withholding implications concerning domestic and international transactions.

She has also been integral part of team which has handled assignments involving tax due diligence, prepared transfer pricing policies and study reports, GST advisory, obtaining lower withholding certificates.

Previous work experience:

Meeti has previously worked with a multi-national CA firm – KNAV and with Dhruva Advisors in their Direct & International Tax team

Dhawal Mehta

Valuation, M&A, Fund Raising, Transaction Support & Advisory, Management Consultancy etc.

Dhawal, a Chartered Accountant has been a trusted advisor to businesses. He has extensively worked on M&A deals in sectors like pharma distribution, travel & tourism, packaging, security services, logistics, facilities management business etc.

Dhawal is also a Registered Valuer as required under section 247 of the Companies Act, 2013, and also empaneled with the IBBI. He undertakes financial modelling & valuation of business entities, tangible and intangible assets for a wide variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, fund raising, fairness opinions etc.

He is assisting various startups in fund raising activity from various angel investors, family offices, VCs, PE funds etc.

Previous work experience:

Dhawal has 10+ years of experience in M&A, Fund raising, Valuations etc. Prior to this, Dhawal was part of API Holdings (PharmEasy Group) M&A team and  Deloitte India’s Corporate Finance team, where he worked on various M&A buy/sell side deals, fund raising etc.

Anjali Gandhi

Focus Area:

Direct Tax Advisory, Tax Litigation, FEMA, International Taxation, Cross border M&A and structuring, Transaction Support, etc.

Anjali, a Chartered Accountant has wide-ranging experience in dealing with income tax and regulatory matters (including international taxation aspects).

Anjali is an experienced tax professional with a demonstrated history of working on several tax and regulatory advisory engagements involving mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound structuring, business restructuring, setting up of trust structure, corporate tax matters. She has also worked on several transactions involving due diligence of the target, reviewing of transaction documents and providing implementation assistance.

She has also contributed articles on varied tax and regulatory issues in recognized tax journals and on e-platforms.

Previous work experience:

Anjali has previously worked with KNAV & Co. & Dhruva Advisors.
